Kuwait Red Crescent Society delivers 1,500 food baskets in Jleeb Al Shuyoukh area

The Kuwait Red Crescent Society, together with the Ministry of Interior, distributed 1,500 food baskets in Coronavirus-related isolated area of ​​Jleeb Al-Shuyoukh.

KRCS's Secretary General Ms. Maha al Barges said the each food basket contained basic nutrition items and enough to satisfy the needs of one individual for a month.

She pointed out that the Kuwaiti Government was keen to provide food and health needs for the Coronavirus related isolated areas of Jleeb Al-Shuyoukh and Mahboula.

She added that KRCS delivered more than 21 thousand food baskets to families and workers in need. She said that the exceptional situation in Kuwait right now made it essential to join forces and concert efforts ti take the country to shores of safety.

Al Barges stressed the KRCS's determination, from the beginning of the crisis, to do everything to help the needy people in Kuwait and to support the Government's efforts to confront Coronavirus.

She called the private sector to make donations and contribute to the humanitarian work program to fight Coronavirus, as they did in the past.

She expressed her gratitude to the female and male volunteers who made great contribution that enabled KRCS human program to succeed.
