International Activities

The State of Kuwait is keen on the government and private levels to provide development and humanitarian aids to numerous world countries, for the purpose of assisting them to fulfil their development goals. 

Under its wise leadership, the State of Kuwait was able to convey its experience to the needy and affected peoples from the different world countries, provide numerous aids to them and establish a large number of humanitarian and development projects, particularly in the countries which were exposed to natural catastrophes, through KRCS. 

The humanitarian operations carried out by KRCS on the local and external levels met wide appraisal and appreciation from international, Arab and local figures, besides national, international and regional organizations, in addition to the appreciation of all official bodies in the countries in which it operated. 

A view of the map of countries in which KRCS offered numerous types of support, aid and assistance throughout the pat fifty years indicates that it include many countries in all the world continents, particularly the countries which suffered as a result of natural catastrophes or man made crises, in view of its belief in its humanitarian responsibility to provide aids to all the needy in the world and based on objectives for which it was founded.

Operations Center was launched that affiliated to the Department of Disaster in Kuwait Red Crescent Society on July 19, 2012

Importance of the Operations Center

Establishing the Operation Center affiliated to the Disaster Department of the Society to emphasize the readiness of the Society during the preparedness phase, where data acquisition is the most important element in it, as a prelude to disaster response, aims at providing an integrated database for the decision maker / Board of Directors about the disaster (natural, environmental, or armed conflict) include the initial assessment and the urgent needs of the affected community or country.

Balsem Project

Balsem Project

Balsem is a humanitarian initiative aimed at collecting donations from passengers on Kuwait Airways flights. The project is co-managed by Kuwait Airways and the Kuwait Red Crescent Society (KRCS).

Local Aids

It is a department within the social services project. The local aid administration team receives all registration requests. Then, a working group studies the cases in which living is conducted through studied practical methods.

The Local Aid Department undertakes the following tasks:
Providing aid to all groups without distinguishing between nationalities and religions.
• Communicate and view the conditions of the poor families registered in the administration’s records and inquire about the necessary requirements and needs, and the administration tries as much as possible to provide some of the necessary life requirements for their living of foodstuffs, clothes, some electrical tools, furniture, stationery, children's toys, household supplies, special needs for people with needs The private sector is distributed in the form of different campaigns according to the categories (widows, divorced women with special needs, patients, low-income and elderly people) and provides assistance in several campaigns and projects
