The Kuwaiti Red Crescent distributes 1500 food baskets  in Mahboula

The Kuwaiti Red Crescent Society, in cooperation with the Ministry of Interior, distributed 1,500 food baskets to workers in the Coronavirus related blocked area of Mahboula.

Khaled Al-Zaid, Director of Public Relations and Information, said that that KRCS continued to distribute food baskets since the beginning of the crisis, especially to workers in the areas of Mahboula and Jleeb Al-Shuyoukh, in addition to some Coronavirus-related blocked buildings.

Al-Zaid added that every food basket contained basic foodstuffs, and it covered the necessary requirements for workers and residents, and supposed to fulfill the needs of one person for a month.

He stressed KRCS's keenness to continue its efforts to improve the daily life of workers and residents in the Mahboula area and to alleviate their suffering, noting the importance of reaching out as much people in need as possible.

He stated that KRCS found itself facing the responsibility to support the Government's efforts to fight Corona- virus by distributing food baskets and daily meals and providing workers places with mattresses, blankets and sterilizers.

Al-Zaid said that KRCS distributed three thousand meals yesterday to the employees in Public sector, in addition to distributing 300 baskets to families in need, including 100 baskets in Tayma Al-Jahra area.

He affirmed the keenness of KRCS to continue distributing this relief aid to families in need, pointing out to the delivery of food baskets to the areas of Suleibya, Teima, and stables of camel, Al Wafra and in the KRCS headquarters in Shuwaikh.

He confirmed the KRCS's keenness to extend bridges of cooperation and humanitarian and philanthropic partnership with donors and philanthropists who support it.
