The Kuwait Red Crescent Society announced today, the delivery of 1000 food baskets in Coronavirus-related blocked region of Jleeb Al-Shuyoukh, as a part of confronting of Coronavirus outbreak, in cooperation with the Ministry of Interior.
The Director General Abdul Rahman Al-Aoun said that KRCS delivered 1,500 baskets last week in the Coronvirus-related bloked areas of Jleeb Al-Shuyoukh and Mahboula.
Al-Aoun added that these food basket contained foodstuffs such as rice, oil, sugar, tea and tins sufficient for one month.
He stated that the KRCS is working hard to deliver food baskets in Jleeb Al-Shuyoukh and Mahboula and elsewhere, to reduce the movement of residents and workers in line with the preventive measures taken by the government to fight Coronavirus outbreak.
He affirmed KRCS’s keenness to deliver food aid to residential areas, especially elderly and people with special needs.
He explained that KRCS continued its educational role through the transmission of educational messages (visual and read) that aim at reassuring people and propagate positive atmosphere and urge people to cooperate with Government agencies and stay at home unless for urgent necessity.
