Kuwait Red Crescent Society distributes 210 thousand meals as part of Ramadan breakfasting program

The Kuwait Red Crescent Society announced today, it started delivery of more than 2100 Ramadan breakfasting meals during the holy month of Ramadan, to workers who lost their jobs temporarily due to Coronavirus in the country.

 Secretary General, Maha Al-Barjas, announced that KRCS delivered seven thousand breakfast meals on daily basis throughout the month as part of the KRCS's Social Responsibility Program and its endeavor to transact with all segments of the society.

Al-Barjas explained that this year’s program would be the largest in Kuwait, since it would cover a wide scale of areas including Amghara, Mahboula, Khaitan, Maternity Hospital, Al Sabah Hospital, Amiri Hospital, Medical Warehouses, Kuwait University, Mubarak Al-Kabeer Governorate, Ports, Ministry of Electricity & Water and the Public Authority for Applied Education and Training.

She stated that this is one of the most important seasonal projects of KRCS and aims at fulfilling the food needs of fasting people through the pandemic.

She called on the private sector, the people of Kuwait and philanthropists to give donations, help and support to fulfill the people's needs throughout the country, especially during the month of Ramadan.

Al-Barjas praised the volunteers' insistence on and their great contribution to social service, despite the heat of summer and the difficulty of fasting. She expressed pride of the distinguished group of volunteers who devoted their time and effort, for the well-being of others.
