The Belgian Ambassador praises the efforts of the Kuwaiti Red Crescent and its humanitarian activities

The Belgian Ambassador to the State of Kuwait, Pete Herbat praised the efforts of the Kuwait Red Crescent Society in the fields of relief and humanitarian activities, especially in combating the emerging Coronavirus worldwide.

Herbat, noted in a statement following a meeting with the Chairman of the Board of Directors, Dr. Hilal Al-Sayer, the quick response of the Red Crescent to help the afflicted people, considering its role in combating the Coronavirus a complementary to its humanitarian role and a part of its duty to help others.

He added that he has taken a good idea about the humanitarian programs of the Red Cross at the local and international levels to confront the Coronavirus, and its great role in supporting the Government by providing aid to the affected workers and needy families.

He stressed the great importance the Society gives to the humanitarian projects in response to the directives of the Kuwait's rational leadership to provide relief to various countries in the world.

He pointed out that he discussed with Al-Sayer several issues related to humanitarian and volunteering work and ways to enhance cooperation between the two friendly countries in this regard. He expressed appreciation to the Society's efforts to help victims at the Arab and international levels.

 Dr. Al-Sayer affirmed in a similar statement that the Red Cross continues its role and humanitarian duty to relief the afflicted people and alleviate their suffering, pointing out that all of what the State of Kuwait provides through the Society to confront Coronavirus, embodies the concept of humanity and the humanitarian role played by our country.

He explained that during his meeting with the Belgian Ambassador, he reviewed the most important work of the Society and its humanitarian actions to relief and help the affected areas, including combating Corona- virus
