The Kuwait Red Crescent distributes masks and sterilizers to worshipers at mosques

The Kuwait Red Crescent Society distributed masks and sterilizers to the worshipers in a number of governorates in the country in a precautionary measure to confront the outbreak of Coronavirus, following the opening of the mosques to perform Friday prayers.

Khaled Al-Zaid, Director of Public Relations and Information, said that the Society, in its efforts to combat the virus, has begun to distribute masks, gloves, and sterilization materials to worshipers, in addition to spreading awareness about the symptoms of the disease and ways of prevention.

Al-Zaid added that the our activities are based on the fact that KRCS is part of the society and aims at promoting it and meet the needs of citizens and residents alike, through cooperation with governmental and non-governmental institutions.

He mentioned that delivery of masks and sterilizers is part of a series of awareness campaigns that the Red Crescent provides to citizens and residents about ways to prevent Coronavirus and the importance of maintaining social distance to reduce the risk of infection. He indicated that KRCS delivered sterilizers and masks to official institutions during the past days.

Mr. Al Zaid praised the keenness of worshipers to wear masks and putting their carpets in the space designated for each of them and maintaining a safe distance.

He valued the great and continuous efforts of various government ministries, sectors and institutions to protect the people from Coronavirus.
