The Board of Directors of the Kuwait Red Crescent Society held an emergency meeting on Sunday, chaired by the Chairman of the Board, Khaled Al-Mughamis, as part of ongoing efforts to monitor current regional developments and enhance readiness and logistical preparations.
The Board of Directors reviewed the findings of the Operations and Emergency Committee, which had convened the previous afternoon. These findings included a review of the approved emergency plans, raising the readiness levels of working cadres — both volunteers and staff — in addition to updating operational mechanisms and field mobilization plans.
The Board reaffirmed its full support for the efforts of the Chairman and members of the Operations and Emergency Committee, stressing the importance of maintaining a high state of readiness, strengthening internal coordination, and ensuring full integration with relevant official authorities to guarantee rapid response and operational efficiency when needed.
It was noted that the level of logistical preparedness was assessed, and the availability of essential supplies was confirmed, enabling the Society to fulfill its humanitarian role within the national response system. Additionally, a number of volunteers have been assigned around the clock at the Society's headquarters to remain on standby and respond to any requests from the competent authorities.
