Program Objectives

At the end of the program the volunteer will be able to:

•  Understand his or her role as first aider.
•  Assess the casualty condition.
•  Recognize fainting, chocking & drowning conditions & provide first aid
•   Recognize and p the location of arteries of radial and carotid arteries for checking the pulse. Counting the respiration & pulse -and practice it.
•   Opening the airways
•   Understanding the symptoms of heart arrest & resuscitation of the casualty.
•   Recognizing shock - heat attacks - burns and managing them.
•   Types and Management of Bleeding
•    Poisoning and managing it - Animals bites and managing it.
•    Types and Management of Fractures
