The Norwegian Red Cross commends the efforts of the Kuwaiti Red Crescent

KUWAIT, Nov 11 (KUNA) - Norwegian Red Cross Secretary-General Berndt Abland on Monday praised the Kuwaiti Red Crescent for its efforts to support humanitarian organizations.

Upland said in a statement to KUNA after meeting with the chairman of the Kuwaiti Red Crescent Society Dr. Hilal Al-Sayer that the humanitarian initiatives and the promotion of development projects have contributed to the enhancement of the status of Kuwait and "raise its flag high in the humanitarian forums and fields of giving and giving" which contributed to the emergence of its entity At the Arab and international levels.

He called for uniting efforts for a "promising and unique" partnership to support relief and humanitarian work, pointing to the initiative to establish an electronic donation platform for National Societies.

He added that humanitarian work has become a bridge for communication between peoples who are exposed to painful humanitarian situations.

For his part, Al-Sayer said strengthening partnership, exchanging information, coordinating efforts and benefiting from the expertise of humanitarian organizations and their plans has become a prerequisite, pointing to the humanitarian situation in Yemen, Syria, Somalia and Sudan.

He added that the Society's strategy stems from the necessity of partnership with others "with professional and professional strength." The partnership with some National Societies, led by the International Federation of Red Cross and Red Crescent and the International Committee of the Red Cross, reinforces the concept of partnership in many humanitarian projects implemented by the Society.
