Today, the Kuwaiti Red Crescent Society delivered 1000 food baskets to workers and residents in the blocked region of Jleeb Al-Shuyoukh, as a part of confronting of Coronavirus outbreak, in cooperation with the Ministry of Interior.
Secretary-General Maha Al-Barjas said that KRCS gave priority to delivery of food baskets to blocked areas such as Jleeb Al-Shuyoukh, Mahboula, Al-Farawaniya, Khaitan and Hawalli.
Al-Barjas added that KRCS continued to provide all means of support to the Kuwaiti society and be part of the Government efforts to fight Coronavirus and put an end to the suffering of people.
She explained that each food basket contains foodstuffs such as rice, oil, sugar, tea and tins, sufficient for one month.
She stated that KRCS is working hard to deliver food baskets in Jleeb Al-Shuyoukh, Mahboula, Al-Farawaniya, Khitan and Hawali, as part of Coronavirus preventive measures to limit the movement of people.
She stated that KRCS also continued food baskets delivery families in need in various areas of Kuwait. Each basket contains the basic items that families need, for one month, "and we are keen to deliver them to the homes of the beneficiaries", she said.
She called on the private sector, companies, and various institutions to make their donations and contribute to the success of the Humanitarian Society's program to combat Coronavirus, as they have always done in the past.
She expressed her gratitude to male and female volunteers who supported the Government agencies' efforts to help others.
