The fifth relief aircraft from the Kuwaiti airlift arrived at Marka Military Airport in Jordan today, carrying 10 tons of basic food supplies in preparation for entry into the Gaza Strip to support the Palestinian people who are suffering harsh humanitarian conditions.
Officials from the Kuwaiti Embassy in Jordan, the Jordan Hashemite Charity Organization, and the Palestinian Red Crescent Society received the aircraft's cargo upon its arrival at the airport, in a step preceding the delivery of aid to its rightful recipients among the Palestinian people.
The Secretary-General of the Red Crescent, Fahad Al-Mundiل, confirmed Kuwait's solidarity with the people in the Gaza Strip, emphasizing the Society's determination to continue providing aid urgently to meet the urgent and necessary need for basic life requirements there.
Al-Mundiل added that this fifth relief aircraft from the second airlift comes in response to the supreme directives from the wise leadership of the country, embodying Kuwait's firm position in supporting the Palestinian people and standing by them in these difficult humanitarian circumstances.
He mentioned that the Society is intensifying its efforts in coordination with the Kuwait Embassy in Jordan, the Jordanian Charity, and the Palestinian Red Crescent to ensure the arrival of aid quickly and effectively.
