The Kuwait Red Crescent Society distributed 600 complete school bags to children of needy families registered with it, as part of its annual Back to School campaign under the slogan "Our Schools with the Crescent," which aims to support students at the beginning of the new academic year and lighten the burden on parents.
The Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Society, Ambassador Khaled Al-Mughames, said in a press statement that this initiative represents one of the most prominent humanitarian projects that the Society is keen to organize at the beginning of each academic year, emphasizing that education is one of the basic rights of every child.
He explained that the distributed bags contain all basic school supplies such as notebooks, pens, drawing tools, pencil cases, in addition to educational games to meet the needs of students at various age stages.
He indicated that this project reflects the Society's commitment to alleviating the economic burdens on modest families and helping them prepare their children for the academic year.
Al-Mughames expressed his deep gratitude to the banks and companies that supported the project by providing bags and school supplies, noting that the partnership between the private sector and humanitarian associations represents an important model of social solidarity.
