The Head of the International Organization for Migration Mission in Kuwait, Mazen Abul-Hassan, said that Kuwait plays a leading role in supporting humanitarian work, which has made it a center for humanitarian work and the focus of the world's attention. Abul-Hassan added during his meeting with the Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Kuwait Red Crescent Society, Khaled Al-Maghames, at the Society's headquarters, that "Kuwait is one of the main countries supporting the International Organization for Migration," explaining that the Organization has signed several cooperation agreements with Kuwaiti entities during the past period, and that coordination is currently underway to crystallize new partnerships in Syria, Yemen, and Sudan. He pointed out that during the meeting, the projects being implemented by the International Organization for Migration in a number of countries were reviewed, and ways to enhance cooperation with the Society in the sectors of humanitarian assistance, health, and education were discussed. For his part, Al-Maghames said that "the Society continues to strengthen its humanitarian role regionally and internationally, based on its firm mission to support the most needy groups and develop effective partnerships with international organizations to achieve sustainable humanitarian impact." He added that "the Society attaches great importance to expanding the scope of its cooperation with UN institutions and specialized organizations, which contributes to improving the quality of its relief, health, and development programs, and enhances Kuwait's well-established humanitarian presence in various fields of humanitarian work."
