The Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Kuwait Red Crescent Society, Khaled Al-Mughamis, announced on Monday the Society's donation of 200,000 Kuwaiti dinars to the fundraising campaign launched by the Ministry of Justice for the settlement of debts owed by financially insolvent citizens who have judicial rulings issued against them and are registered with the General Directorate of Enforcement.
Al-Mughamis stated that this initiative stems from the Society's commitment to contributing to the alleviation of suffering faced by financially struggling citizens and their families, and in support of the values of social solidarity that distinguish Kuwaiti society.
He added that the Kuwait Red Crescent Society is steadfast in fulfilling its humanitarian and social role by upholding the principles of compassion and solidarity among members of society, and by contributing to the support of initiatives that enhance family and social stability.
He emphasized the importance of combined efforts among state institutions, civil society organizations, and donors to provide solutions that support vulnerable groups and
strengthen the social safety net in the country. He reaffirmed the Society's continued support for purposeful community initiatives as part of its well-established humanitarian approach.
