The Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Kuwait Red Crescent Society, Khaled Al-Mughamis, affirmed the importance of strengthening joint Arab cooperation in the field of humanitarian work and unifying efforts and coordination among the various Arab and international organizations, in a manner that contributes to consolidating the principles of humanitarian action and developing its mechanisms at both the regional and international levelsAl-Mughamis made these remarks following his participation via video conference in the preparatory meeting held by the Arab Red Crescent and Red Cross Organization, attended by the presidents and secretaries-general of the national societies for the 25th session of the General Assembly of the International Federation. He stated that the meeting discussed the general framework for the upcoming electoral process.

He added that the meeting examined the importance of early coordination to enhance opportunities for representation and influence, and to reach a unified Arab position that reflects the aspirations of the national societies and supports their effective presence within the International Federation system.

He noted that the upcoming phase requires the unification of visions to ensure balanced representation that reflects the weight of the Arab region in humanitarian work, as well as the building of more effective partnerships that serve its humanitarian priorities and enhance the level of coordination and integration among the national societies.

He explained that the meeting reviewed the upcoming practical steps for the 25th session of the General Assembly of the International Federation, emphasizing the importance of preserving the unity, independence, and neutrality of the movement, and enhancing the efficiency of the humanitarian work system to ensure effective performance and raise the level of response to humanitarian needs in various parts of the world.

He commended the efforts of the Arab Red Crescent and Red Cross Organization and its pivotal role in coordinating Arab positions and promoting joint action, in a manner that contributes to supporting humanitarian causes, unifying the Arab humanitarian stance in international forums, and strengthening integration among the national societies.
