The Director General of the Kuwait Red Crescent Society, Fawaz Al-Mazroui, confirmed that the growing turnout from embassies and foreign communities to participate in humanitarian initiatives within Kuwait reflects the prestigious humanitarian standing enjoyed by the country.
Al-Mazroui said that Kuwait has long been accustomed to serving as a center for humanitarian work, and that what draws particular attention in recent years is the growing engagement from resident embassies and communities with the voluntary and charitable activities organized by Kuwaiti institutions.
He added that many embassies have begun proactively requesting to organize joint humanitarian events after witnessing the scale of community interaction with such activities, which reflects the depth of the relations that bind Kuwait with its various expatriate communities and friendly nations.
He explained that Kuwaiti humanitarian work has contributed to building bridges of cooperation with countries around the world, noting that the Red Crescent, in its capacity as the humanitarian arm of the State, implements relief and development projects and initiatives that attract wide attention and follow-up from embassies and international organizations.
