The Kuwait Red Crescent Society organized yesterday, in cooperation with the International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC) and the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP), a workshop entitled "International and Humanitarian Efforts in Preparedness and Response to Climate Change Risks," with the aim of strengthening the capacities of its members in the fields of humanitarian response related to climate change and sustainable development.
The Director General of the Society, Fawwaz Al-Mazrou'i, stated that the workshop falls within the Society's efforts to develop the capacities of its national cadres and raise their readiness to address the growing humanitarian challenges resulting from climate change, through benefiting from international expertise and best practices.
The Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Kuwait Red Crescent Society, Khaled Al-Mughamis, honoured the ICRC Cooperation Programs Officer on the occasion of the conclusion of his tenure, in recognition of his efforts and his distinguished contributions to supporting humanitarian work and strengthening the partnership between the two organizations.
