The Head of the Regional Delegation of the International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC), Anne Moumentavon, confirmed that the Kuwait Red Crescent Society is a fundamental partner of the International Committee in many joint humanitarian initiatives and programs at the regional and international levels, commending the prominent humanitarian role undertaken by the Society and the appreciation it enjoys within humanitarian circles.

Moumentavon said, following her visit to the Kuwait Red Crescent Society, that the cooperation between the International Committee and the Society represents a successful model of humanitarian partnership built on coordination and the exchange of expertise.

She affirmed the International Committee's commitment to continuing its work in a manner that reflects a firm dedication to humanitarian principles, and which contributes to strengthening relief efforts and consolidating the values of humanitarian solidarity at both the regional and international levels.

She added that the humanitarian initiatives implemented by the Society reflect a genuine commitment to serving affected communities and providing assistance to those most in need, noting that this visit comes within the framework of strengthening the strategic partnership between the two organizations, which are bound by close relations and fruitful cooperation spanning many years across various humanitarian fields.

For his part, the Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Kuwait Red Crescent Society, Khaled Al-Mughames, said that the Society is committed to expanding the horizons of cooperation with its international partners and exchanging expertise and successful experiences in a manner that enhances the efficiency of humanitarian work and keeps pace with growing challenges.

Al-Mughames added that the coming phase requires greater integration, coordination, and consolidation of joint work to achieve humanitarian objectives and serve affected communities, explaining that this meeting comes within the framework of strengthening the strategic partnership with the International Committee of the Red Cross, which is bound to the Society by close ties and fruitful cooperation extending over many years across various humanitarian fields.
