The Kuwait Red Crescent Society organized an introductory visit for a delegation of students participating in the summer program organized by the World Islamic Charitable Organization in cooperation with the General Authority for Minors Affairs, with the aim of introducing them to the Society's humanitarian mission and fostering a culture of volunteerism and humanitarian work among them.

The Society's Director General, Fawaz Al-Mazroui, said that the Society is committed to opening its doors to youth and the younger generation to introduce them to its humanitarian mission and national and relief role, and to instill the values of volunteerism and giving within them.

Al-Mazroui added that the visit program included a first aid training workshop aimed at equipping participants with the essential skills needed to deal with emergency situations and raising awareness of the importance of rapid response and first aid as one of the fundamental pillars in preserving lives.

He explained that the visit also included an introductory meeting that reviewed the Kuwait Red Crescent Society's journey and its most prominent humanitarian and relief programs inside and outside Kuwait, as well as a field tour of the Society's departments to learn about its working mechanisms, services, and programs offered in the humanitarian and voluntary fields, and its role in supporting those affected by natural and man-made disasters.

He noted that these visits and awareness programs contribute to developing humanitarian awareness among the rising generations and introducing them to the humanitarian principles upon which the International Red Cross and Red Crescent Movement is founded, and encouraging them to adopt a culture of volunteerism, initiative, and community service.

He commended the cooperation between the Society, the World Islamic Charitable Organization, and the General Authority for Minors Affairs, affirming that the partnership between national institutions contributes to preparing an aware generation that possesses basic skills and believes in the values of social responsibility and humanitarian work, which positively reflects on serving the community and fostering a culture of giving.
