Minister Dr. Afrah Al-Zuba affirmed the importance of the humanitarian role undertaken by the Kuwait Red Crescent Society in supporting the Yemeni people, commending the assistance and projects the Society has provided over the years, spanning the health, education, relief, and humanitarian sectors in her country. Al-Zuba stated during her visit to the Kuwait Red Crescent Society headquarters that Kuwait's efforts in Yemen reflect the depth of the brotherly and sincere relations uniting the two countries, and embody Kuwait's steadfast stance in supporting the Yemeni people — particularly in light of the difficult circumstances the country is enduring. She added that she discussed with the Society ways to expand the areas of humanitarian support provided to Yemen and to develop existing cooperation, in a manner that contributes to responding to urgent needs and humanitarian and developmental priorities in the coming period. She indicated that an agreement was reached to develop specific proposals for priority projects and programs in the required and urgent areas, in coordination between the Kuwait Red Crescent Society and its partner institutions in Yemen, thereby ensuring that support is directed toward the most pressing needs. For his part, the Yemeni Ambassador to Kuwait, Dr. Ali Mansour bin Safa'a, praised in a statement Kuwait's leading humanitarian and developmental role and its steadfast positions in support of the Yemeni people — positions that have extended to various parts of the world, stemming from Kuwait's well-established approach of extending support to peoples without being tied to political or economic interests.
