Minister Al-Huwailah discussed with the Head of the Regional Delegation of the International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC), Anne Montavon, and the Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Kuwait Red Crescent Society, Khaled Al-Mughamis, ways to strengthen cooperation and expand the areas of partnership in humanitarian and charitable work.

The Minister affirmed that the Ministry of Social Affairs is keen to strengthen its partnerships with national and international institutions engaged in humanitarian work, praising the leading role played by the Kuwait Red Crescent Society and its track record in providing assistance and humanitarian relief both inside and outside the country.

She added that humanitarian work represents a well-established approach in Kuwait's history — a country that has, over the course of decades, played a prominent role in supporting peoples and communities in need through humanitarian initiatives, assistance, and contributions at both the regional and international levels.

Al-Huwailah affirmed the Ministry's readiness to support joint cooperation and initiatives that contribute to the development of humanitarian and charitable work, and to enhance Kuwait's presence, standing, and humanitarian role at both the regional and international levels.
