The Kuwait Red Crescent Society launched the World First Aid Day campaign event at The Avenues Mall, with the aim of raising awareness of the importance of first aid, spreading its culture among members of the community, and consolidating the essential skills needed to deal with emergency situations.

The Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Society, Khaled Al-Mughamis, stated that spreading a culture of first aid and enhancing community awareness of its fundamental skills are of great importance, given the role these skills play in saving lives and reducing the complications of injuries and emergency situations until specialist medical teams arrive.

He emphasized the Society's commitment to strengthening the community's ability to respond correctly and swiftly to various emergency situations, affirming that first aid is essential knowledge that should be promoted across all segments of society — and is not a skill confined solely to those working in the health sector.

Al-Mughamis added that the Society places great importance on training and awareness in the field of first aid, stemming from its humanitarian mission.
