Pakistan has experienced successive humanitarian crises in recent years, particularly waves of devastating floods that have resulted in widespread loss of lives and property, leaving millions of families facing extremely difficult living conditions.
Within the framework of its humanitarian responsibility, the Kuwait Red Crescent Society has remained committed to standing alongside the Pakistani people by implementing urgent relief and development initiatives aimed at meeting basic needs, alleviating suffering, and supporting recovery efforts in the most affected areas.
As part of its response in Pakistan, the Society provided humanitarian assistance to flood-affected communities, including the construction and rehabilitation of 26 houses in the Sindh and Baluchistan regions.
In 2022, heavy rainfall triggered massive floods and torrents across Pakistan—unprecedented in decades—resulting in hundreds of deaths and injuries and causing severe damage to infrastructure, including roads and bridges.
In response to this humanitarian emergency, the Society launched the “Help Pakistan” campaign in cooperation with the Pakistan Red Crescent Society, through which urgent relief materials were provided and distributed to affected families.
Furthermore, the Society deployed a volunteer field team to deliver essential humanitarian and health services to displaced individuals from affected areas, helping them overcome the crisis and navigate this challenging period.
